As a “caretaker” of the brand’s legacy, the International Inside Sales & Support, will grow the size and profitability of assigned channels that will focus on Canada and South America hardware and outdoor recreation.  The International Inside Sales & Support will accomplish this goal by selling and up-selling our products via telephone, email and direct contact to our loyal customer base and potential new customers. 

WORK ACTIVITIES AND ESSENTIAL DUTIES
 
  1. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:                                                                                
  • Sales
  1. Drive to exceed budgeted sales, profitability and new business targets
  2. Serve as the point of contact for all matters for the customer base within assigned channels
  3. Direct, motivate, and support manufacturers’ reps within assigned channels
  4. Build and maintain strong and trusting customer relationships
  5. Gain in-depth knowledge of customers’ business
  6. Conduct business and product line reviews
  7. Present and place new products to new and existing accounts
  8. Compile a list of prospective key accounts and proactively pursue new business opportunities
  9. Advise re-sellers on sales and advertising techniques, point of sale displays and other selling tools that sponsor sales
  10. Work closely with internal marketing team to develop collateral
  • Customer Service
  1. Build and maintain relationships with customers through timely and helpful responses to their inquires
  2. Based on knowledge of our production and delivery abilities – accurately estimate delivery dates to customers
  • Administrative
  1. Provide monthly and ad hoc sales reports, forecasts and goal setting for assigned customer base
  2. Assist customer with set-up data and product set-up sheets
  3. Accurately document account activity into customer relationship management program
  • Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS
 
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
 
Required Qualifications                                                                                                                                                                 
  • A two-year degree (e.g., Associate’s or technical) or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 3-5 years’ customer facing experience
  • Two or more years B to B sales or account management experience
  • Proven ability to convert inbound calls into sales as represented by a history of consistently meeting sales goals
  • Documented proficiency in MS Office, order management software and sales contact databases 
  • Reasoning Ability: Documented ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.  Proven experience dealing with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Mathematical Skills: Documented ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Demonstrable ability to calculate discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, and volume.
  • Language Skills: Proven experience reading and interpreting documents such as sales agreements, vendor documents and shipping guides.  Documented experience speaking effectively before groups of customers or staff.
  • Reliable transportation, a current and valid driver's license, and the availability and ability to travel 20% of the time

  • Sales Experience: Industrial Distribution, Job Site, and/or Farm & Agriculture Channel Experience
