THE ROLE
The purpose of this role is to operate the crushing circuit to size ore for further processing through HMS and Grinding/Flotation circuits, other duties as assigned.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Always demonstrate safe behavior by wearing proper PPE, reporting of all SHEC incidents and comply with the site’s goals, standards and procedures in SHEC

Conduct pre-start checks, start crusher circuit and conduct after start checks

Perform routine operational checks

Clear blocked transfer chutes, blinded & overloaded screens, blocked feeders, and overloaded conveyor belts

Implement lock-out tag-out procedure

Undertake fault finding and reporting including identifying both process and/or mechanical issues

Performs routine preventive maintenance Including routine inspection, changing of screen panels and identification of mechanical issues within the process circuit

Ability to grasp upstream/downstream circuit to circuit interaction and impact

Fill out proper reports and logbooks

Occasionally operate mobile equipment such as loader, dozer and skid steer amongst others

Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, grip, handle, or feel; reach, pull and push with hands and arms; and talk and hear

Occasionally required to climb and/or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
-
Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE

Minimum GED completed
-
Experience in mining / milling operations or an industrial production environment desirable

Basic writing and communications skills

Comprehensive knowledge of the Mines Regulations (MSHA principles)

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus
