Woodfield Country Club in Boca Raton is seeking a Golf/Tennis Retail Assistant & Front Desk Attendant. He/she will be responsible for the overall appearance of the golf/tennis retail shop as well as providing outstanding customer service to our members and guests. A minimum of  2 years prior experience in sports retail apparel and/or sporting goods experience is required. This position requires a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

  • Processes and codes merchandise and club related invoices.
  • Works the retail floor on all peak traffic times maximizing visibility and accessibility to all members.
  • Take member special order requests, follow through completely on all orders and communicate with members as to status of order.
  • Service all member retail needs by helping them try different items, giving advice and feedback on product questions.
  • Responsible for the daily cleanliness and orderly appearance of the entire golf/tennis pro shop including the tennis shop counter.
  • Promotion and sales of all items in the shop.
  • Assist with tee times/court reservations made by members.
  • Help with the monthly inventory process.
  • Be aware of and enforce all club and golf/tennis rules.
  • Takes messages for all golf/tennis staff.
  • Keep record of all lost and found items and make sure that items are returned to the proper owner.
  • Set the food and beverage amenities for members and keep all areas neat and tidy at all times including food court, sitting and fitting rooms, conference room, stringing room, pro shop display area and patios.

  • To perform other assigned duties as needed and requested by the Golf/Tennis Retail Manager, Desk Supervisor and/or the Director of Golf/Tennis.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum of 2 years sports retail apparel and/or sporting goods experience.
  • Available to work weekends and holidays
  • Exceptional communication and hospitality skills
