Woodfield Country Club is looking for an energetic F&B Café Supervisor to oversee the daily service of our busy "Café Blendz" located in our fitness center. Our Supervisor will assure the highest standards of service including Café room appearance, hospitality of service staff, as well as the cleanliness of food and beverage facilities, and will provide supervision and training to staff. 

Our ideal candidate must have 1-2 years of supervisory experience in an upscale, with strong customer service, communication and organizational skills. JONAS knowledge is a plus. Candidate must have a flexible schedule, available to work 5 – 6 days per week, include morning hours from 5:30am to 1:00pm as well as holidays and weekends.

  • Performs daily operation by preparing café when Cascades opens (5:30 M-F, Sat/Sun 6:30am) for service of coffee, bagels/bread and fruit.
  • Ensuring all service and side work procedures are followed; ensure proper handling of all equipment to prevent breakage and/or loss; train and monitor fitness staff following appropriate service standards
  • Inspect work area to ensure all equipment is clean, sanitized properly and in working order at all times.
  • Communicate with purchasing for products according to anticipated demand and fluctuations in usage (holidays, spring break, etc).
  • Oversees inventory storage, item preparation, and serving of refreshments by other workers in café.
  • Ensures cleanliness of café and that staff adhere to food service safety standards.
  • Communicate with Food & Beverage about food displays, equipment, containers and supply of coffee cups.
  • Maintain smoothie inventory with weekly inventory reviews based on sales.
  • Prepare smoothies as ordered, ring up in Jonas.
  • Maintain clean work and dining areas.
  • Ability to prepare the café area for daily opening through proper food/ drink preparation, properly place displays, set up toasters safely
  • Preparing the café after 11am for the rest of the days activities and the following day. Restocking supplies, cleaning the working areas, communicating with staff about any issues or tasks that need to be done prior to opening.
  • Know where to get supplies (paper products) and inventory and use the proper cart to transport the supplies from the clubhouse to Cascades.  Use the freight elevator to deliver supplies.
  • Know how to operate the dishwashing machine
  • Other duties may be assigned.
