Ruiz Asset Management Company, a successful company in the field of real estate investment and property management, is currently seeking a Payroll Administrator / Senior Accountant. The ideal candidate will be a focused, self-motivated individual with strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities and exceptional attention to detail.  Reporting to the Controller with a dotted line to the Accounting Manager, the Senior Accountant is part of a team responsible for the accounting and financial reporting of multi-family residential properties and their affiliates. Position is tasked with Bi-weekly payroll, Worker's Comp. audits and benefit administration.

 Minimum Qualifications:
  • BA degree in accounting, finance or related field from an accredited university
  • ADP experience required
  • 3+ years in general accounting with experience to include AP, AR, and Payroll processing
  • Worker's Compensation and benefit administration experience

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge in Yardi property management software
  • Pursuit of a CPA license a plus
  • Experience in a major ERP system like Yardi, SAP, SAGE, Oracle a plus

Primary responsibilities include:​​​​​​​​​​​​
  • Coordinate, review and transmit ADP bi-weekly payroll runs
  • Ensure integrity of payroll information is kept secure
  • Ensure ADP adjustments, additions and terminations are completed promptly and accurately
  • Assist in Workers Compensation matters and audits
  • Assist with benefit matters as designated by the company to include Health, retirement, and workers compensation at the direction of the Controller and HR Manager
  • Review and approve postings of daily cash receipts for designated properties and resolve any discrepancies with property or assistant property managers
  • Process and record payrolls and related accounting entries
  • Perform daily accounts payable entries as submitted by vendors and properties
  • pays vendors by monitoring discount opportunities, scheduling and preparing checks, resolving purchase order, contract, invoice or payment discrepancies and documentation
  • Maintains accounting ledgers by verifying and posting account transactions
  • Perform designated monthly bank reconciliations
  • Reports monthly sales taxes to authorities vial online portals
  • Prepares and updates weekly Management AP reports for payable runs
