Under the supervision of the Director of Finance, this position provides accounting and administrative support to Tech Impact's finance, accounting, and administration functions. The Staff Accountant will be the primary person responsible for invoicing, accounts payable/cash disbursements, and accounts receivable/collections. They will perform duties such as payment request processing, expense report management, check or payment deposit processing, data entry, filing and organizing, financial record keeping, procuring supplies, communicating with customers and vendors, coordinating with building management, and working on special projects. The Staff Accountant will also provide occasional, high-level administrative support by handling information requests as needed. This position requires a high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- This is a Remote Position. Some Travel Might Be Required to attend in person meetings.

- Salary Range $50,000 - $55,000

- Maintains the general ledger, reviews financial statements, research accounts, and analyzes financial records.
- Creates spreadsheet reports, verify information, prepares journal entries, and reconciles accounts and balance sheets.
- Prepares financial statements and reports and assists with monthly closing processes.
- Contributes to developing, reviewing, and implementing the operating budget and performance projections.
- Assists with financial audits.
- Analyzes current accounting policies and procedures and recommends changes for improvement.
- Responds to information requests, research and interpret data, and answer accounting and financial questions.
- Meets processing and reporting deadlines.
- Manage and resolve client billing inquiries and discrepancies to ensure accurate and timely invoicing.
- Assist with collections by coordinating with clients to facilitate payment arrangements and address overdue accounts.
- Assist with accounts payable processes, including invoice verification, coding, and ensuring timely payment to vendors.
- 2+ years of accounting experience.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Working knowledge of GAAP.
- Strong numeracy and analytical skills.
- Good problem-solving and time-management skills.
- Highly organized and detail oriented.
- Strong administration skills.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
