As a Data Administrator, you will play a crucial role in providing actionable recommendations to drive data-informed decision-making within the organization. You will work closely with Tech Impact leadership and cross-functional teams to maintain the integrity of Tech Impact data systems, support Tech Impact’s overall business strategies, and manage all aspects of Tech Impact’s data ecosystem. This position reports to the Chief Operating Officer.

A leading provider of technology education and solutions for nonprofits, Tech Impact also operates award-winning IT (Information Technology) and customer experience training programs designed to help young adults launch careers. With offices in Philadelphia, PA; Wilmington, DE, and Las Vegas, NV, Tech Impact has been delivering services since 2003 to thousands of national and international nonprofit organizations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Reporting and Visualization:
  • Create customized reports, dashboards, and visualizations for organizational and team needs for both technical and non-technical stakeholders. These reports may be built natively with the system or using a third-party tool.
  • Utilize data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Excel to facilitate understanding and decision making.
Data Quality Assurance:
  • Establish and enforce data quality standards, monitor metrics, and collaborate for improvement.
  • Identify opportunities to improve data collection, analysis, and reporting processes.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of data governance and data management practices. 
Data Source Integration:
  • Work with teams and Tech Impact leadership to understand the need to integrate data sources.
  • Build integrations using native connectors and APIs.
Other as needed, such as:
  • License Maintenance: Monitor and manage software licenses, ensuring compliance and optimization.
  • System Implementation: Lead implementation of new data management systems, including ERD creation, data cleaning, data migration, create of new reporting, etc.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate across teams to understand data needs, and bridge technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Data Architecture: Develop and maintain data architecture strategy, design database structures, and define standards.
  • Inventory Management: Develop and maintain comprehensive data inventories, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Data Modeling: Design and implement data models aligned with business objectives, optimizing for performance.

Essential Skills for Success in this Position
  • Preferred experience in one or multiple of the following: NetSuite, Harmony/CloudBlue PSA, Halo PSA, Service Now PSA, HubSpot, WizeHive, Zengine, JIRA, Paylocity.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to present complex findings in a clear and concise manner.
  • Proven experience as a data administrator or a related role, demonstrating expertise in data quality, report creation, and data integration.
  • Knowledge of reporting and visualization tools including Advanced Excel using Power Query, Power BI, and Tableau.
  • Knowledge of programming languages including SQL, Python and R.
  • Experience working with APIs to both GET and POST data, create bidirectional communication between systems.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast paced, dynamic environment.
