Bodywork Technician
The Bodywork Technician will be responsible for carrying out bodywork to the highest standard on the restoration of Singer vehicles in a manner that demonstrates, “Everything is Important.”
The Bodywork Technician will be responsible for carrying out bodywork to the highest standard on the restoration of Singer vehicles in a manner that demonstrates, “Everything is Important.”
Essential Functions
- Files, grinds, and sands repaired surfaces using power tools and hand tools
- Performs high-quality surfacing repair and production work, including depression repair
- Aligns body panels to gap and flush specification
- Performs minor metalwork repairs using hammers and dollies
- Replaces bolts on panels and align properly
- Provides technical guidance and mentorship to other technicians
- Consults with leads to understand and diagnose root causes of non-conformances
- Performs all other duties as assigned
- 8 to 10 years of experience working in a body shop, specializing in custom restorations.
- Experience applying high film build urethane primers and sealers.
- Experience using polyester fillers to correct and shape body panels.
- Knowledge of high-level surfacing and gaping using block sanding methods
- Ability to file, grind, and sand repaired surfaces, using power tools and hand tools
- Ability to accurately work from a spec/process sheet

Schedule
- Monday - Friday 5:00 am - 1:30 pm with overtime as needed.
Compensation
The starting pay range for this position is between $29.00 - $36.00 per hour. Actual compensation will be determined by skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
