Barback - Jaya (Miami Beach)

The Barback at The Setai plays a critical support role within the bar operation, ensuring seamless service in a luxury, Forbes-rated environment. This position requires attention to detail, efficiency, and a strong commitment to excellence while supporting bartenders in delivering an elevated guest experience.

• Support bartenders during service by ensuring all bar stations are fully stocked and organized at all times

• Replenish liquor, wine, beer, mixers, garnishes, glassware, ice, and bar supplies

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, back bar, storage rooms, and equipment

• Polish and restock glassware according to The Setai’s presentation and cleanliness standards

• Assist with opening and closing procedures, including setting up and breaking down the bar

• Remove empty bottles, trash, and recyclables promptly and discreetly

• Follow all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines in compliance with local regulations and Forbes standards

• Communicate effectively with bartenders, servers, and management to support smooth operations

• Assist with inventory organization and restocking deliveries as needed

• Uphold The Setai’s luxury service culture, professionalism, and grooming standards at all times

• Previous experience as a Barback or in a high-volume, luxury food & beverage environment preferred

• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail

• Strong teamwork and communication skills

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs

• Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays

• Must be able to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks required for the role

• Must adhere strictly to The Setai grooming and uniform standards, including clean, pressed uniform and polished appearance

• Professional demeanor and respectful attitude at all times

• Commitment to maintaining a refined and discreet presence consistent with a luxury hospitality environment

• Knowledge of bar setup, tools, and basic beverage operations preferred

• Understanding of hygiene, safety, and alcohol service regulations

• Must comply with all company policies and Forbes Travel Guide standards
