The Japon Manager oversees the daily operations of the restaurant, ensuring exceptional service, food quality, and customer satisfaction. They are responsible for managing staff, maintaining inventory, implementing marketing strategies, and maximizing profitability.


Requirements:
Proven experience as a restaurant manager, preferably in a Japanese restaurant or similar environment.
Excellent leadership and communication skills.
Strong understanding of Japanese cuisine and culture.
Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in restaurant management software and MS Office.
 

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Staff Management:

    • Recruit, train, and supervise restaurant staff.
    • Schedule shifts and manage payroll.
    • Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback for improvement.
    • Foster a positive work environment and enforce company policies.
  2. Customer Service:

    • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by resolving complaints and addressing concerns promptly.
    • Maintain a welcoming atmosphere and uphold the restaurant's reputation for excellent service.
    • Interact with customers to solicit feedback and implement improvements.
  3. Operations Management:

    • Oversee daily restaurant operations, including opening and closing procedures.
    • Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed.
    • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
    • Manage reservations and seating arrangements.
  4. Food Quality and Menu Development:

    • Ensure consistent food quality and presentation.
    • Collaborate with chefs to develop and update the menu, incorporating seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
    • Monitor food costs and adjust menu prices accordingly to maintain profitability.
  5. Financial Management:

    • Develop and manage the restaurant budget.
    • Monitor sales and expenses, and implement cost-saving measures where necessary.
    • Analyze financial reports and identify opportunities for revenue growth.
