We are looking for a Documentation Specialist (Remote) to join the ZAG team

This position is focused on 

  • Creating and organizing different document repositories, 

  • Developing the life-cycle processes and meta documentation around these types of documents, 

  • Developing templates for rapid development of these documents

  • Acting as content editor for certain types of documents with the goal of maintaining consistency of format, function, and repository


Job Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assist the company in defining standards for different types of documentation

  • For each documentation type, 

    • Assist in defining the proper repository,

    • Define the lifecycle processes (creation, review, update, delete).

    • Create standard format templates

Document Types

  • Processes and procedures

  • Policies (both internal, and for our customers)

  • Network Diagrams


 Skills/Qualifications  
  • Excellent information organizational skills

  • Familiarity with document life cycle processes

  • Familiarity with a SharePoint based document repository 

  • General Documentation Management background

  • Solid familiarity with MS Office suite

  • Working knowledge of MS Visio and general technical diagram document production

  • Website design and content management skills a plus.

  • Working knowledge of IT Glue a plus.


Experience 
  • 2-3 years writing, editing and managing technical documents

  • 2-3 years SharePoint 2010 or 2013 experience is preferred. 

  • 1-2 years in relevant document lifecycle management 


Education 

Degree in a Journalism, Computer Science, Engineering or similar field or equivalent experience
