The Position:  We are in search of an Engineer Journeyman or Engineering Technician VI to support MH-60R Acoustics T&E and will provide knowledge and experience with acoustic sensor theory and practice. This position applies engineering experience to perform functions such as system integration, design, configuration management, quality assurance testing, or acquisition and resource management to the government customer.

 The Description: 
  • Applies engineering principles to research, analyze, plan, design, develop, implement, test, or evaluate systems.
  • Reviews and prepares engineering and technical analyses, reports, change proposals, and other technical documentation

The successful candidate will have the minimum education and experience below:
  • BS Electrical Engineering
  • Aircrew or related Anti-Submarine Warfare military experience much needed
  • Experience with the MH-60R multi-mission systems is highly regarded
  • Experience with the AN/AQS-22 airborne low frequency sonar (ALFS) and integrated dipping sonar and sonobuoy processor is particularly applicable for this position. 
  • Significant, relevant work experience may be substituted for a degree

An Active DoD SECRET clearance is required.

The Working Environment:  The physical environment requires the employee to work in office environment either at an AM Pierce office or on the government site sitting in a cubicle or at a desk, looking at a computer for the majority of the workday.  The employee may be required to walk short distances to offices/conference rooms and buildings on site.  In some occasions, the employee may be required to drive to offices or buildings near the work site.  Occasional travel may be required.
