The Position:  We are searching for candidates who will be providing acquisition and program support to our customers.  The candidates will have experience facilitating engineering meetings and developing and facilitating acquisition briefs to leadership.

The Description:
  • Prepare briefing materials with content and formats appropriate for specific audiences
  • Facilitate weekly Engineering Meetings. Provide tailored summary charts for status update, analysis and discussion
  • Assist in coordination, support and completion of the System Functional Review, Independent Logistics Assessment and Preliminary Design Review
  • Support strategic planning and execution of the program and future planned Increments which may include assisting with maintenance of the Integrated Master Schedule
  • Support coordination with the aviation, ship (platform) and supporting program offices
  • Develop, and coordinate acquisition and test strategies,  including preparations for Acquisition milestones and Program Reviews
  • Assist in the updating, coordination and staffing the Information Support Plan, describing information needed to support program missions including the quantity, quality and criticality of data required to enable program functions
  • Assist in development, preparation, updating, coordination and staffing of analyses, briefs, and documents in support of Capability Development Document (CDD) preparation and staffing, Doctrine, Organization, Training, Material, Leadership & Education, Personnel, and Facilities (DOTMLPF) requirements; and Program reviews
  • Provide tailored analysis and strategic planning in preparation for Program Objective Memorandum (POM) submissions for the program
  • Provide tailored analysis and recommendations in specific areas of interest related to program management, requirements generation, acquisition, systems engineering, cost, test, and logistics of the program with an integrated program approach
  • Develop and execute strategies for organizational leadership, communications drumbeat, and team building for the government/contractor teams and working groups, which may include change management and process improvement, to support efficient and effective program execution within the government/contractor teams
  • Develop and execute strategies for establishing and tracking program specific leading indicators that are risk-based and time-phased
  • Develop and execute strategies for establishing and executing realistic baselines
  • Develop and execute strategies for program communication and interaction with external stakeholders, Congress, and the media, which may include program inputs/updates to the Strategic Communication Plan and the Business Plan
  • Support the development and execution of strategies for potential Defense Security Cooperation engagement (such as Foreign Military Sales or Direct Commercial Sales) of the program with allied nations
The successful candidate will have the education and experience below:
  • Bachelor’s degree in a business, management or engineering management discipline plus 4 years of specific acquisition support experience.  Experience should include working with Resource Sponsors; developing CDDs to support transition of milestones.
  • Education Substitution:  Associate’s degree and 8 years’ experience; 10 years’ experience with no degree.
  • An Active DoD Secret clearance is required.
The Working Environment:  The physical environment requires the employee to work on-site at the government program office, sitting in a cubicle or at a desk, looking at a computer for the majority of the workday.  The employee may be required to walk short distances to offices/conference rooms and buildings on site.  In some occasions, the employee may be required to drive to offices or buildings near the work site.  In rare occasions, travel may be required.
