Currently looking for an experienced Radiology Tech Educator to fill an opening with Children's Hospital Orange County. Interested candidates must have a minimum of three years experience in imaging including plain radiography or computed tomography, or magnetic resonance imaging or ultrasound as well as two years of clinical education experience.

Responsibilities of the Radiology Tech Educator

  • Provides staff development expertise as an educator, consultant, facilitator, and change agent.
  • Facilitation of the educational process through assessment, development, planning, implementation and evaluation of competency assessment, and continuing education.
  • Provide leadership development by incorporating adult learning theory and age appropriate guidelines.

Requirements of the Radiology Tech Educator

  • Minimum of three years experience in imaging including plain radiography or computed tomography, or magnetic resonance imaging or ultrasound.
  • Graduate of an approved Radiologic Technologist program
  • ARRT Certification and CRT. ARRT or ARRT or ARDMS. CA Fluoroscopy within 6 months of hire/transfer.
  • Knowledge of regulatory/accreditation agency standards.
  • Knowledge and application of adult learning theory.
  • Interpersonal relationship, critical thinking and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently and maintain flexibility in an environment subject to numerous interruptions, e.g., multiple demands, inquiries, special project requirements, requiring critical deadlines.
  • Organizational and prioritization skills Ability to set goals and evaluate results in accordance with the highest standards.
