As a member of Sea Shadows Inn Management LLC, the Lead Server for Heritage House Resort & Spa will provide an excellent guest experience and assist servers and bartenders in the service of all guests who are dining in the restaurant and bar. Responsibilities include training in various positions, basic administrative duties, coaching staff in constructive manner, and duties normally delegated to bussing & serving staff to alleviate pain points. But also, any other duties that the manager on duty deems needed to ensure a high-quality, seamless, and exceptional experience for all guests.


  • Maintain thorough understanding of the property of Heritage House, of day to day standards of service, and procedures established by management to be executed amongst teams
  • Have in-depth knowledge of the Point of Sale (PoS) operating system to coach team members at any given moment, or troubleshoot any issues that may arise
  • Have capability of executing basic proper conflict resolution, whether with a guest or between peers in order to hinder service efficiency minimally. But also, to report to direct supervisor as soon as capable with detail
  • Ensure lunch periods are taken within a timely manner for all employees working longer than 6 hours. But also, make certain an individual’s break period is taken when necessary or to delay until business demands are able to accommodate
  • Hold team members accountable for closing and opening duties if stations are not to departmental standards
  • Be able to read and analyze server reports. But also, to investigate alarming irregularities
  • Perform cash management with precision and punctuality of making drops for accounting
  • Put into action with use of teams any needs required for events as given by your direct supervisor or F&B Management. This may entail reformatting entire service floor, ensuring food or beverage needs, staging of plate, glass & silver, etc.
  • Follow all SOPs and rules set forth by HR and F&B Management as a Leader, as well as put into action amongst the team; lead by example
  • Missed Punch correction forms distributed by direct supervisor to be brought to necessary team member, signed, and returned to direct supervisor’s box


  • Be organized in all areas of work
  • Have a sense of urgency with regards to all duties
  • Communicate clearly with servers and managers on any issues that would prevent the accurate and timely performance of Food & Beverage services
  • Maintain a clean uniform and proper attire at all times without exception
  • Maintain and follow high safety standards, personal conduct, and put these standards into action within teams if discovered to be otherwise
  • Follow Company policies and procedures as established in the Employee Handbook
  • Comply with the attendance policy including meal breaks and rest breaks, reporting any discrepancies to management


  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Proficient conversational and written English
  • Ability to speak Spanish is preferable
  • Ability to use repetitive hand and body motions
  • Able to stand and walk, and moving for long periods of time
  • Thorough understanding of Heritage House Resort
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds or more on a consistent basis
