Lead Staff (shift leads) are members of a care-team responsible for leading and maintaining a safe, supervised, and structured living environment for adolescent residents that is conducive to their well-being. Lead Staff assess group dynamics and resident needs to then utilize that information to promote improved social, developmental, educational, and physical functioning of group home residents.

Some of the skills and experience we are looking for from you:
  • Bachelor’s degree in a human/social services related field preferred
  • Previous experience working with a youth population in a residential setting     
  • At least 21 years of age
  • Hold a valid driver’s license

Your responsibilities as a Lead Staff may include:
  • Follow program policies and procedures to ensure compliance with state licensing requirements 
  • Lead scheduled shift activities and ensure programming schedules are followed.  
  • Maintaining a safe, supervised, and structured living environment for our adolescent clients
  • Supervising youth and knowing their whereabouts at all times
  • Facilitating crisis counseling, conflict resolution, and problem solving with and for clients
  • Incorporating client treatment objectives into the individual care of residents
  • Transporting and supervising clients at designated activities and appointments
  • Accurately completing and reviewing shift documentation
  • Training new hires following the defined training program 
  • Additional duties as assigned

Your schedule will include: 
  • Nine-hour shifts scheduled four days per week on a rotating schedule.
  • Shifts scheduled every other weekend are required.
  • Shifts are typically during late afternoon and evening hours between 3pm and midnight.
  • Holiday rotation is required.
