The Plant Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for managing the maintenance activities associated with the fixed plant equipment. This position ensures compliance with all standards, policies, and regulations for safe, environmentally-sound activities. This position reports to the Plant Manager.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
  • Ensures plant and mobile equipment is kept in good and safe working condition to maximize asset throughput;
  • Conduct routine inspections of the facility and structures to identify and initiate corrective action for safety and environmental discrepancies, as well as physical and systems discrepancies; 
  • Prepare schedule and coordinate maintenance activities to ensure maximum uptime and availability of the stone crushing facilities and mobile rolling stock;
  • Troubleshoot and resolve maintenance related problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays;
  • Facilitate training of maintenance and plant personnel in the operation, safety and maintenance of equipment, as required;
  • Effectively and proactively administer AMC's safety program ensuring compliance with MSHA rules and regulations;
  • Knowledge all applicable regulations affecting plant production, safety environmental, state, federal, and company policies; ensure observance of such regulations; and ensure compliance with all regulations and permit conditions;
  • Report to the assigned job site with required PPE and ready to begin work at the designated start time;
  • Strict adherence to safety requirements and procedures as outlined in the Environmental, Health & Safety Manual;
  • Ability to detect safety hazards and malfunctions and respond accordingly;
  • Plan, organize, implement and monitor the installation of assigned projects; 
  • Recommends equipment modification for upgrades;  
  • Develops and maintains preventative maintenance programs; 
  • Track, analyze and take corrective action to prevent equipment down time;
  • Must not be afraid of Heights!!! 
  • Ability to follow directions;
  • Must be able to accurately complete daily paperwork which includes plant production reports, material produced;
  • Display a professional and courteous attitude to co-workers, supervisors, and the general public at all times;
  • Must be willing to work nights and weekends when necessary;
  • Willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisors with other duties as required; and
  • All other duties as assigned.
  • High School Graduate with a desired 2-3 years experience
  • Pass pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check; 
  • Pass a pre-employment “Fit for Work” physical; 
  • Be able to provide valid documentation for the I-9 Immigration document; 
  • Maintain current driver’s license that meets state requirements;
  • Have a Motor Vehicle Record that meets company standards;
  • Be willing to work outdoors in extreme temperatures, both hot and cold;
  • Must be able to physically stand long periods of time;
  • Strictly adhere to safety requirements and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook;
  • Have the willingness to work in a team environment and assist co–workers or supervisors with other duties as required;
  • Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) in designated operations and production areas as stated by OSHA and / or MSHA; 
  • Be at least age 18 years of age due to nature of working environment; 
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; 
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
