ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
 
  • Processes completed repair orders in order to maintain a database of completed orders
  • Receives and opens repair orders from mechanics and parts staff
  • Verifies that repair orders are complete.  If clarification is needed, locates the responsible mechanic and confirms the status of the work
  • Completes data entry of repair orders into TMT repair order software
  • Closes repair orders as necessary and ensures the accuracy of entries
  • Maintains a database of opened and closed repair orders
  • Prepares work orders to assist Fleet Services staff in servicing vehicles and mobile equipment
  • Notes any issues or concerns on work orders
  • Assists Fleet Services staff as able to reduce work overload on staff by scheduling repair work, ordering parts, answering phone calls
  • Performs general office duties to assist the Fleet Services Department
  • Assists in identifying work process improvements that result in increased productivity and effectiveness
  • Manages parts inventory
  • Review and approve time for mechanics hours and vacation
  • Code and enter Expense Track for mechanics
  • Create and input various reports for equipment tracking
  • Notify mechanics of required services due on equipment
  • Review vendor statements on mobile equipment
  • Track cores
  • Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Ability to multi-task and establish priorities
  • Detail oriented
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Ability to operate telephone, photocopier, fax machines, and PC workstation
  • Ability to work independently on assigned tasks as well as to accept direction on given assignments
  • Problem analysis and problem resolution
  • Ability to file alphabetically and/or numerically
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
 
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • At least 2 years’ experience in parts inventory management
  • Skill in operating a personal computer, various printers, fax machine and other office equipment are necessary
  • Knowledge of fleet maintenance software – Knowledge of TMT Fleet Parts software is strongly preferred
     
    LANGUAGE SKILLS:
     
  • Read, write and communicate using English language sufficient to perform job functions
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
     
    MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
     
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
