Japanese Conference Simultaneous Interpreter needed-Onsite Tokyo-Japan (Tokyo, Japan)

We are currently  seeking 2  experienced Conference (simultaneous) Japanese Interpreters for Financial Institution meetings on site Tokyo-Japan

Type of Event: Mastercard meeting w/customers to discuss financials
Agenda:
Day 1: Monday, November 18, 2024
Event Hours: 1:00PM – 5:00 PM Tokyo Time
Onsite Location: Mitsubishi UFJ NICOS
4-14-1 Sotokanda, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo
 
Day 2: Tuesday, November 19, 2024
Event Hours: 2:00 PM – 5:30PM Tokyo Time
Onsite Location: Orient Corporation
5-2-1 Kojimachi, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo


The interpreter must be comfortable interpreting consecutively for business meetings to discuss finance options with company representatives.  There will be no booth or Simultaneous equipment set up. Interpreters must have portable simultaneous interpreting equipment with 10 receivers in case simultaneous is the preferred method during portions of the meeting.  However, the client's preference is consecutive being that this could be an interactive meeting where the participants may be asking questions throughout the meeting.


Requirements:

• Experienced Conference Interpreter and must be comfortable with consecutive interpreting.
• Portable Simultaneous interpreting equipment with 10 receivers
• Local to Tokyo

• Be fluent in both English and Japanese
• Have strong verbal communication skills in both languages
• Be familiar with note taking and memory techniques
• Professional and courteous behavior
• Be accustomed with the consecutive interpretation process
• Strong ability and passion for interpretation and customer service
• Knowledge of the interpreter Code of Ethics
