Language Link is searching for an Audiovisual Engineer

This position is a technical position that completes the audiovisual steps required in a localization project and is responsible for the evaluation, preparation, inventory, engineering, testing, delivery and archiving of the project files over the project lifecycle. The Audiovisual Engineer in conjunction with project management, plans, produces and directs and edits audio and video recordings for the corporation. Contributing to the creation of project content by providing ideas, creative approaches, techniques and procedures and/or writing outlines, treatments and scripts, the Audiovisual Engineer functions as sound person and/or editor on productions, performing production and post-production and coordination toward the creation of audio and video deliverables and audio-visual staging of client projects.

Requirements:

  • Communications, Film, Media Production Degree or career related degree or 2+ years’ experience in audiovisual production.
  • Minimum of 2+ years of experience in Adobe Audition, Audacity, Sound Forge, Adobe Premiere and After Effects. Final Cut, or similar audiovisual editing software.
  • Proven experience and extensive functional knowledge of Adobe Creative and other Digital Publishing suites, possessing a full understanding and application of non-linear video editing equipment, HD video formats; in-depth knowledge of audio and camera applications, location lighting and sound, and studio lighting and sound techniques and related audio equipment, software and techniques.
  • Must be able to work on both Mac OS and Windows.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical, time management, problem solving, prioritization and planning skills.

Education and Training:

  • Communications, Film, Media Production Degree or career related degree or 2+ years’ experience in audiovisual production.
