Position Description:
The position of purchasing coordinator involves assisting the supply chain manager in managing, monitoring and reporting on the company's inventory levels. 

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
  • Assist with monitoring inventory levels
  • Assist with processing purchase orders
  • Maintain vendors’ information consistent with company’s requirements
  • Monitor suppliers’ completion of purchase orders
  • Coordinate with carriers for delivery of goods
  • Provide logistics support to warehouse managers, including
    •  order confirmations and ETA’s
    • order tracking and back orders
  • Assist with products’ assembly activities
  • Allocate and redistribute products to other warehouses
  • Maintain and file purchase related documents in compliance with FDA regulations, company’s policies and procedures
  • Work closely with the accounting department to resolve problems with invoices and will be one of the points of contact within the company for any vendor inquiries or issues


QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES
  • Associates Degree in Business
  • 5+ years of related work experience
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of purchasing procedures, proficient in data entry and Excel, superb communication skills - both oral & written, manage multiple projects & tasks at one time and prioritize based on importance. Must be able to communicate in a positive way, bi-lingual a plus
  • Self-motivated; must be able to work independently with little or no supervision. 
  • Willing to adapt in a fast pace environment
  • Working Conditions: Frequent standing, sitting, walk, bending and twist at the waist.
  • Ability to lift 20+ Lbs.
  • Must be able to pass background check (criminal and credit) prior to employment
