State Department Federal Credit Union is a growing, dynamic organization with an immediate opening for a Managing Director of Human Resources to lead its Human Resources & Learning Development department! 

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Managing Director of Human Resources & Administration will provide strategic leadership and direction to all facets of the credit union's human capital in accordance with the policies, procedures, laws, and regulations. In this role, the Managing Director of HR & Administration will direct the functions of the human resources department, including workforce planning, organizational development, benefits administration, talent acquisition and development, compensation, and employment law. The position ensures all HR programs and initiatives are integrated and effective in supporting the organization's overall mission, goals, and objectives. The incumbent is responsible for strategic human resource planning to attract and retain top talent while fostering a fair, consistent, employee-engaged environment. 

This position will require an undergraduate degree in Human Resource Management, business, or a related field and ten-plus years in the Human Resources field with a generalist background. Masters of Science or Business Administration preferred. Knowledge of labor relations laws, wage and salary administration, pension administration, and management principles is required. Must have excellent listening, counseling, written, and verbal communication skills. Experience in handling confidential situations and information with diplomacy and discretion is required. Excellent analytical skills, the ability to use sound judgment, organizational skills, and attention to detail is needed in this role.
