Hudson Valley Credit Union (HVCU), with over $6 billion in assets, has created a new role for a dynamic leader to provide a strategic and visionary approach in developing, introducing, and promoting forward-thinking, member-driven payment products in the delivery of quality member service.  

This position will report to the Vice President, Support Services, and have a powerful impact on evaluating potential vendor management opportunities that will leverage emerging technologies and secure, user-friendly payment services to HVCU’s members.  

This individual will be responsible for aligning cross-functional partners throughout the organization through influential leadership in executing a competitive, forward-thinking payments strategy.  Internal partnerships will be crucial for leveraging relationships that support ongoing market research, competitive analysis, and identifying payment service opportunities and other insightful strategies that will position the credit union for growth. 

The AVP Payment Strategy will communicate a shared vision of organizational goals while influencing change with metric identifiers that support the membership with futuristic payment solutions.

A Bachelor’s degree or at least two years equivalent experience for each undergraduate year not completed, and a minimum of 5 years of leadership, preferably in a financial institution, is desired.  A minimum of 2 years of Credit/Debit Card processing, ACH payments, and wire experience within a financial institution is required.  Exceptional written and presentation skills are an essential requirement of the role.
