Recognized by the City of Alexandria as a Gold Employer, State Department Federal Credit Union (SDFCU), with approximately $2 billion in assets, headquartered in Alexandria, Virginia has an opportunity for a strategic leader to partner with executive management and key stakeholders within the credit union to support the cloud based data analytics platform.

The incoming leader will be responsible for the strategic development and operation of the Business Intelligence, Data Warehouse, Data Management practices, and management of SDFCU’S Core Processing and Ancillary Systems.  He/she will maintain, develop, implement, and support the cloud-based data analytics platform which provides essential information to internal constituents and external members to ensure successful solutions based upon the business needs.

The Director will manage the deployment, monitoring, maintenance, development, upgrade, and support of Business Intelligence and data warehouse systems with experience leading data warehousing projects from inception to delivery.

A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related academic program is required, a graduate degree highly desired plus a business analytics certification will be preferred.  Must possess superior project management skills with the ability to lead complex projects and be an effective communicator working with staff, vendors and within cross-functional teams.  A minimum of ten years of experience in an IT, business analyst, or business leadership role, and a least five years’ of management experience is needed.
