With assets approaching $2 billion, located in Alexandria, Virginia, SDFCU is in search of an exceptional leader who will be responsible for planning, organizing, and controlling the activities of the SDFCU IT LAN, WAN, telecommunications, Help Desk, Desktops, and IT infrastructure.Daily oversight and strong mentorship skills are an essential daily activity to its direct reports.
Reporting to the Managing Director of Information and Security Services, the incoming Manager will be responsible for planning, executing, and finalizing projects according to strict deadlines within budget while utilizing resources to its maximum capability. Additional responsibilities will include, acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members, vendors, and third-party contractors or consultants to deliver projects according to plan.
The incoming leader must be a detail-oriented and self-starter who will be an active participant in partnering with internal/external customers providing recommendations and solutions to achieve desired outcomes.
A Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science or related academic field, MBA or graduate degree is preferred, financial services, credit union experience desired. A minimum of ten years experience within an IT group, with a minimum of five years of management and leadership experience plus five years of IT project management experience. Demonstrated knowledge and skills in Project Management or Program Management is needed.
