JOB TITLE: Outlet Cashier/Keyholder
STATUS: Non-Exempt / Full time

REPORTS TO: Director of Sustainability
SAFETY SENSITIVITY: HIGH – This position is designated as safety sensitive and is subject to pre-employment physical, drug, and alcohol screening.
The starting wage for this position is $18.84 per hour.
CHARACTERISTICS OF THE JOB: Under direction, the Outlet Cashier/Keyholder will be responsible for supporting preparation of tables and staging product, handling sales transactions, maintaining a clean, neat and shoppable environment, and providing oversight to Outlet customers. Employee will also be responsible for opening and closing procedures when assigned as Shift Leader.
Use of time: It is anticipated that 100% of work time will be spent involved in the transactional functions of operating the Outlet Store.
PROVIDES SUPERVISION TO: None. Provides direction to co-workers when acting as Shift Leader.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Continuous standing, bending, twisting, stooping, pushing, pulling, grasping, fine finger movement to operate cash register and count cash drawer. Walking intermittently throughout work shift . Regularly lift up to 30 pounds, occasionally lifting to 50 pounds, with or without assistance. Gross and fine manual dexterity skills required. Visual acuity, hearing and verbal skills required.
PROMOTION OPPORTUNITIES:
Role may be promotable to Assistant Store Manager following training demonstrated mastery of this position. Role also develops skills that are compatible with other Donated Goods opportunities.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Counting cash register drawer.
- Operate cash register and credit card machine
- Perform sales transaction
- Collect payment
- Perform and report mid-shift readings (X and/or Z process)
- Enter daily sales data onto spreadsheet and perform end of day reports
- Perform bank deposits and change runs in support of business needs.
- Creating bank deposit.
- Ensure that table/product rotations are performed on schedule, including making frequent announcements to Outlet customers.
- Sort donated goods on Outlet tables for quality and safety.
- Identify and place products in designated locations in the Outlet.
- Maintain work environment to be neat, clean, and shoppable.
- Address customer issues as necessary.
- Support preparation of tables when needed.
- Adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
- Adhere to all agency policies and procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Maintain a well-groomed appearance.
- Always conduct self in a courteous and professional manner.
- Attend all scheduled meetings, including safety and online safety trainings as required.
- Perform all other job-related duties as assigned.
- High School diploma, or equivalent.
- Minimum of 1 year cashiering experience.
- Computer skills in Word, Excel and Outlook at a beginning level
- Basic work readiness skills and aptitude.
- Good communication skills, both in writing, and orally.
- Basic Math skills, specifically counting, addition, subtraction, multiplication
- Able to receive and follow direction.
- Able to speak and understand English for communicating with customers, co-workers or supervisors; especially as relates to ability to receive and follow work assignments and safety information.
- Valid CA Class C Driver’s License and proof of personal auto insurance.
- Must have access to a reliable passenger vehicle that supports completion of essential and ancillary functions of the position.
