POSITION TITLE:    Program Coordinator

This position has a starting pay of $22.00 per hour

CHARACTERISTICS OF THE JOB:  Implement and monitor program activities to ensure quality of programs in assigned area, including the adherence to organization, contractual and other relevant standards
PROVIDES SUPERVISION TOMay provide supervision to Employment Services Specialist, Job Coach, or Program Assistant 

  • Coordinate staffing to ensure consistent and high quality delivery of services
  • Plan and implement outreach activities that meet program, grant and budget requirements
  • Ensure client-related records, including database entry, are current, submitted on a timely basis and meet organizational, contractual, CARF and other relevant standards
  • Assist in the identification and development of new programs and services
  • Direct job development activities as necessary
  • Ensure timecards and other employee records are accurate and submitted on a timely basis
  • Ensure invoice data is accurate and submitted in a timely manner.
  • Assist in the development of, and implement short and long term departmental goals
  • Assist in the preparation of the annual budget
  • Assist in developing and implementing annual program evaluation objectives
  • Implement and support the Injury and Illness Prevention Program, including ensuring the timely and accurate submission of facilities checklists and other program documents; ensuring that assigned Safety Committee member carries out duties as required, including attending Safety Committee meetings
  • Manage the recruitment and selection of qualified staff
  • Supervise assigned staff according to organizational policies in order to maintain a high level of performance and delivery of services
  • Conduct self in a professional and ethical manner at all times
  • Develop and update procedures for assigned programs
  • Represent and promote programs and services to employers, community based organizations, partners or others as appropriate to increase placement opportunities and determine employer  needs
  • Other job duties as assigned
  • Adhere to Goodwill Redwood Empire policies and procedures
  • A minimum of two years college, Bachelor’s Degree preferred or sufficient life and work experience to provide the skills and ability to perform the job
  • At least two years’ experience coordinating human services programs; knowledge of supported employment programs highly desired
  • At least two years supervisory experience
  • Solid leadership skills
  • Working knowledge of educational, government and social service agencies and programs
  • Familiarity with the Americans with Disabilities Act
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (including PowerPoint) or similar software
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to interact with a diverse population
    • Valid California Driver License, acceptable DMV record, and California auto insurance
WORK ENVIRONMENT:  Office environment with carpet and overhead lighting. Occasional exposure to moderate noise levels (office machines)
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:  Sitting, standing and walking intermittently. Close and visual distance capabilities. Fine finger movements. Vehicle travel. Occasional gross manual dexterity.
