The Category Strategy Analyst (CSA) is responsible for support to all client analytic and sales reporting tool development for the Central Group (TCG). This role will lead analytic support development for TCG’s strategic clients and enable strategic support to the Sales/Client Engagement team. Collaborating with the department leaders on analysis, insights, strategy and client facing content, the CSA will manage the creation and communication of analytic product offerings to all TCG’s business development targets, as well as potential and existing clients.
The CSA will be a go-getter who really understands the importance of category analytics in support of sales. A growth focus and intention of building and driving equity in the Central analytic toolkit will make this person a key asset to the National Sales Team.


BD/ Sales Reporting Support
  • Craft and maintain all tools and processes for the purposes of business development
  • Collaborate and set tools and process strategy with the Sales Team, owning the sales reporting and forecasting for the National Sales team.
  • TCG’s internal analytic training and learning agenda. Facilitates group sessions that enhance the Sales capabilities and ideates new enhancements
  • Supports and plays key role in sales reporting via CRM tool (D365) the following:
    • Champion reporting and data analysis for ERP initiative for sales team
    • Company-wide ERP implementation and Deliver end user training to sales team
    • Business analysis and Business processes assessment
  • Work collaboratively across multiple teams, connect regularly with sales team and deliver monthly or weekly reports to Sales Leadership Team
  • Facilitate Ideation sessions for internal stakeholders

Customer or Client Analytics Support
  • Manage and deliver all Category Insight and Analysis for current strategic clients to be utilized for client business development purposes and to enhance potential and existing client value.
  • Champion all insights deliverables for strategic clients by mining and analyzing data from client databases to drive optimization and improvement of product development, marketing techniques and business strategies.
  • Report and dashboard development for leadership using Nielsen platform
  • Customer facing Marketing and Insight support to client interaction with both the Sales and Creative team members. Collaborates with managers on first-tier client relations
  • Create visualizations of the information available to tell a story and add value to a business opportunity or concern.
  • Support the Performance at Retail (P@R) methodology at TCG including the presentation, communication and implementation of P@R with qualified clients

  • Bachelor degree in Business, Marketing or Technology
  • Minimum 1-3 years experience in analytical and insights
  • Advanced Excel (pivot tables, produce dashboards) and PowerPoint skills
  • Being comfortable with ambiguity and ability to operate in a matrix environment
  • Natural sense of urgency and drive to reach goals with high efficiency
  • Strong analytical and project management skills
  • Experience working in Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) company or Agency Organization with a focus on Shopper Insights/Strategy/Marketing is a plus

  • Self-motivated with high energy, ability to multi-task and execute multiple projects on time.
  • Willing and able to take the initiative in uncovering and implementing business building ideas.
  • Excellent communication skills, including written and verbal with the ability to present live to internal and external stakeholders
  • Able to author and create presentations with input and support from other team members.
  • Analytic Software expertise
  • CRM (MS D365) experience is preferred
  • Positive team player who can work effectively with internal and external associates.
  • Ability to work effectively with others
