The Plant Janitor is responsible for all sanitation operations ensuring compliance with applicable quality standards including SQF. This role cleans and sanitizes the manufacturing facility and equipment in a timely manner and in accordance with all Company, State, and Federal regulations. Top candidates will have past experience in following safety rules and sanitation processes. All food production facilities require strict janitorial and sanitation procedures due to strict SQF and FDA guidelines pertaining to food protection. 
 
Essential Functions:
Everyday duties consist of cleaning items in the dish pit making sure all dishes are washed and fully dried. Check production line daily and hourly to see what they need to have done to maintain sanitation standards. Sweep production line and clean out drain by the mixing area and water chiller daily. Also, sign off paperwork indicating all duty assignments were completed.   Clean break room by wiping down tables, clean windows, sweep floors, empty trash cans and clean restrooms. Stock all toilet paper and paper towels.  
Certain days may require additional duties: Change Outs- make sure to wash all equipment for production. We have to wash bowls and depositors and have Food Safety sign off on everything.   
 
Skills and Abilities:
 
To be flexible to hours and working day requirements. Must have weekend availability. Ability to work as a team well with others taking instructions and being detailed orientated. 
  • Responsible for Food Safety and Quality 

Physical Requirements 
  • Ability to work in confined spaces (ovens are 48 inches wide)
  • Ability to work at heights over four feet
  • Ability to use power lifts and wear a safety harness
  • Ability to climb industrial ladders
  • Ability to bend
  • Ability to Kneel
  • Ability to walk and stand throughout an entire shift
  • Ability to life 50-75 lbs. periodically
