AvtechTyee is searching for a CNC Lathe or Mill Machinist for our 2nd shift team! You will be working on our Tyee Production team, supporting our rods and struts manufacturing and be responsible for the coordination of activities in the Tyee production area, and for operating various machines and equipment in support of manufacturing production.

Your primary responsibilities will be:
  • Set up and run Multi-axis CNC machines including but not limited to:
    • Mills
    • Lathes
  • Selects and installs cutting tools, mount fixtures and work pieces, and load programs
  • Calculate and set machine controls to position spindle in relationship to work pieces
  • Select and set cutting tools as well as cutting depths, speeds and feeds required to produce parts per drawing requirements
  • Responsible to understand and anticipate requirements and ensure that materials, equipment, and tooling is available
  • Responsible for following established safety procedures, and training and overseeing all team members to safety procedures
  • Responsible to comply with all applicable WIP and ISO procedures
You will bring to the role:
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • 2+ years’ progressive experience as a CNC Machinist
  • Demonstrated proficiency in set up and inspection of machines, in addition to basic operations
  • Experience in the Aerospace industry is a plus
  • Experience working in a complex machine shop environment

The wage/salary range for this role is $32 - $39 per hour (+ 2nd shift differential), depending on education and experience.
