AvtechTyee is searching for a Manual Machinist for either our 1st or 2nd shift team! You will be working on our Tyee Production team, supporting our rods and struts manufacturing.



Your primary responsibilities will be:
  • Set up and run one or more of our core machines including but not limited to:
    • Mill
    • Lathe
    • Hone
    • Swage
    • Centerless Grinding
    • Thread Roll
    • Hydraulic Press
    • Carbon Fiber
  • Use drawings and written instructions to perform routine operation of basic machines to close tolerances.
  • Install hardware manually using provided tools, sometime using adhesive or grease as specified by the BOM.
  • Hand deburrs parts to drawing specifications.
  • Check work using prescribed gauges.
  • Perform self-inspection of completed work and record data as required.
  • Examine part for acceptability of finish.
  • Clean up parts, machines and premises.
  • Perform detailed periodic machine maintenance.

You will bring to the role:
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • 1+ year of experience with one or more of the machines identified.
  • Experience in an aerospace machine shop environment preferred.

The wage/salary range for this role is $26 - $35 per hour, depending on shift, education and experience.
