You will be working as part of our operations/electronics team, supporting our audio and avionics departments with exposure to our structures departments.

In this Role, you’ll get to:
  • Provide operations and troubleshooting support to improve manufacturing throughput and first pass yield
  • Create and manage manufacturing BOMs, routers and work instructions for complex and high value processes. Update BOMs consistently with changes in Agile.
  • Update documentation to ensure manufacturing errors do not occur
  • Work with Design Engineering to implement design changes as needed
  • Work with supplier quality and suppliers to ensure materials arrive in conforming product
  • Drive an attitude of continuous improvement focused on productivity; proactively looks for opportunities to improve the manufacturing and quality with little direction from supervision
  • May observe, analyze, and optimize product flow through the manufacturing process
  • Identify key capacity and quality constraints and address them with new machines, tooling, fixturing, or other solutions
  • Participate on the Material Review Board, assess and disposition non-conformances, conduct failure analysis, root cause analysis, and provide corrective action
  • Working proficiency with DFMEA and PFMEA methodology and implementation
  • Prioritize work based on company goals and production team needs
  • Prepare and present periodic status reports covering tasks accomplished and schedule of projects
  • Interface with sales, shop floor personnel, quality, operations, finance and plant maintenance regularly
  • Up to 20% travel may be required
  • Working directly with manufacturing operations, manufacturing technology, site IT, Quality, and other groups to understand business requirements for corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Create business and technical process maps to reflect the current state and proposed changes.
What you’ll Need to Succeed:
  • B.S. Manufacturing or Electronics Engineering or Similar degree
  • 5+ years of experience in the aerospace or other highly regulated manufacturing industry
  • 7+ years of experience in electronic testing and troubleshooting
  • Experience with APQP and IPCA+
  • Demonstrated track record of effectively influencing without authority with all levels of an organization and leading effective/successful change initiatives
Preferred:
  • Working knowledge of Mechanical & Industrial Engineering tools and Lean Manufacturing principles preferred
  • Experience working with suppliers to resolve technical issues preferred
  • Working knowledge of Supply Chain/Manufacturing principles and implementation of Design for Excellence (DFx) inputs to designs required
  • Experience with plastics, sheet metal design & processing methods preferred
  • Working knowledge of Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA) & Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA) required

The wage/salary range for this role is $80k - $115k, depending on education and experience.
