Summary
The Engineering Change Coordinator is responsible for supporting the set up and modification of new and existing products. The role is responsible for New Product Introduction planning tasks.  This function ensures an efficient and accurate roll out of change.  The role includes interfacing with engineering, purchasing and operations. Works with minimum supervision. Demands extreme self-accuracy and checking the work of others.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • AvtechTyee uses metrics to define standards for productivity, quality, and cost.  Incumbent is responsible for meeting all defined standards.
  • Review Engineering Change Orders (ECO’s) released in the Engineering PLM software and implement changes required the ERP system
  • Develop and maintain Bill of Materials (BOM)
  • Using the ERP/PLM systems, ensure production handoff is solid by managing the BOM and promoting parts to active state when ready
  • Work with engineering and operations to support new item creation, deviations, first article approvals, and part revisions
  • Responsible for new part number creation and modification of existing part numbers in ERP system
  • Write and open rework orders required by engineering changes
  • Notify buyers of recommended purchase order changes per the ECO
  • Monitor and expedite work orders held for documents
  • Review planned orders scheduled for release to identify those part numbers affected by engineering changes
  • Actively suggest ideas for process improvements and cost savings (improve time, reduce waste, etc.)
  • Presents a competent and composed demeanor, representing the company with professionalism  to all stakeholders (including but not limited to applicants, employees, contractors, vendors, and customers) to successfully advance the interests of the company

Education and/or Experience
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Five years of change control or planning experience

**Must be authorized to work in the U.S.**
International Trade Compliance Requirements (each point only if applicable)
  • To conform to U.S. export control regulations, applicant should be eligible for any required authorizations from the U.S. Government

Knowledge/Skills
  • Experience with Production Management tools (MRP, CRP, shop floor control, production scheduling)
  • Computer and software systems skills as applicable to position including but not limited to: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook
  • Proven people skills required, must have ability to work with others while effectively handling internal pressures
  • Excellent Communication Skills (written and verbal)
  • Organizational and problem solving skills required
  • Requires a high degree of creative ability, engineering skill and independent judgment
  • Time management and organizational skills; ability to prioritize and multi-task in a complex business environment
  • Strong focus on customer service
  • Ability to quickly master new business knowledge and technical skills
