AvtechTyee is searching for a Program Manager / Business Unit Manager with a passion for sales and a roll-up-your-sleeves attitude to help position our company for new growth and improved social responsibility.  This is an upwardly mobile position so only individuals interested in advancement should apply.

Since 1958 AvtechTyee has been a leader in the design, development, and manufacture of electronic systems and structural parts for the aerospace industry, with a focus in Communications, Power Lighting and Control, Electro-Mechanical, Switches and Connectors, Indicators, and Rods and Struts.  AvtechTyee’ s products are flying onboard 42 aircraft types within the air transport, regional commuter, and business jet sectors, serving 450 customers in 49 countries of the world.  AvtechTyee manufactures a large range of Tie Rods, Push-Pull Rods, and Control Rods assemblies in Aluminum, Titanium, or Stainless Steel and our composite strut design combines lightweight composite materials with AvtechTyee’s proprietary insert.  AvtechTyee can design a customized rod to fit any aerospace application. Our versatility in supporting aerospace electronics requirements ranges from the custom design and manufacturing of complex power supplies to complete Digital Audio Systems. You will be working on the Sales & Marketing team, leading a cross-functional Business Unit Team that includes Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, and Sales.

Your primary responsibilities will be:
  • Principal responsibility for Business Unit bookings, sales & profit performance
  • Leader of the Business Unit team
  • Organize and execute the sales and marketing activity for the assigned AvtechTyee Business Unit
  • Promote and sell the group's existing products and meet the planned backlog targets
  • Promote value generation of the Business Unit by achieving growth through profitable new business using the A/B new product process
  • Develop annual product prices consistent witt company guidelines
  • Expand market share of both existing and new products
  • Track cost improvement plans and actions related to the Business Unit value generation plan

And you will have
  • A Bachelor’s degree in relevant field
  • Five years’ of sales or engineering experience with a broad knowledge of Aerospace industry
  • Advanced knowledge of business principles and practices
  • Excellent oral and written communication
  • Excellent problem solving skills and the ability to determine a course of action to drive value
  • Aerospace industry regulations, operating norms, and requirements
  • Ability to work independently and part of a team

**Must be authorized to work in the U.S.**

The salary range for this role is $120k-145k, depending on experience.
