Role Summary
The Housekeeping Houseperson is responsible for assisting housekeeping through the distribution of supplies throughout property. Also be responsible for responding to guest requests for amenities/services.
Key Responsibilities
Please note that this is not an exhaustive list of everything that needs to be done! Within the Auberge family, our people always find new ways to look after the business, their guests, and their team-mates. Within this, the key responsibilities for this position are:
- Distribute room supplies throughout day/turndown service.
- Maintain a supply closet adequately stocked.
- Strip guest rooms (linens, garbage, etc.)
- Review assignment sheet and update completed assignments. Check with the supervisor for additional assignments throughout the shift.
- Load/unload linens and supplies in/out of cart following departmental procedures.
- Transport linens and supplies from vehicles to designated areas.
- Organize and stock all incoming linens in designated areas/shelves.
- Monitor and maintain designated supply levels.
- Maintain and monitor cleanliness of work areas.
- Assist housekeeping staff as assigned.
- Ensure the confidentiality and security of guest rooms.
- Perform other duties as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to satisfactorily communicate in English with guests, co-workers and management to their understanding.
- Candidates must have a flexible work schedule as well and work holidays.
- Ability to perform assigned duties with attention to detail, speed, accuracy, follow-through, courtesy, cooperativeness and work with a minimum of supervision.
- Ability to work cohesively with other departments and co-workers as part of a team.
Physical Demands
- Environmental conditions are inside and outside in a variety of weather conditions.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular and continuing basis.
- Must be able to walk or stand for long periods of time.
- Must be able to push and pull carts and equipment weighing up to 150 lbs. on a regular and continuing basis.
- Must be able to bend, stoop, squat and stretch to fulfill cleaning tasks occasionally.
- Requires manual dexterity to use and operate all necessary equipment.
- Frequent need to perform the following physical activities: reaching, bending, pushing, pulling, twisting, lifting, and climbing. Have frequent need to perform standing and walking activities related to inspecting property, distributing items, retrieving linens, etc.
- Vision requirements: Must be able to have vision that enables the House Attendant to drive a golf cart or adult tricycle.
- Hearing requirements: constant need to speak on telephone and/or two-way radio, respond to the general public and converse with staff. Ability to hear fire alarms and emergency equipment.
The starting pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00 per hour. This is the pay range for this position that Solage reasonably expects to pay. Decisions regarding individual pay will be based on a number of factors, such as experience and education.
