Role Summary
The Assistant Food and Beverage Manager is responsible for the leadership, supervision and activities for dining service at Solbar. The Assistant F&B Manager requires consistent attention to detail, strong communication skills and entrepreneurial spirit.


Core Responsibilities
Please note that this is not an exhaustive list of everything that needs to be done!  Within the Auberge family, our people always find new ways to look after the business, their guests, and their team-mates. Within this, the key responsibilities for this position are:
  • Oversee day to day operations of Solbar.
  • Develop and supervise team members and conduct daily rallies to educate and motivate team members.
  • Work alongside team members to create a culture of teamwork and service excellence.
  • Train, motivate, evaluate, mentor and direct team members.
  • Act as ambassador to Auberge’s ENRICH values and incorporate our values in day-to-day decisions.
  • Assist leadership team in planning and implementing operating standards and procedures and effectuate quality and quantity control standards.
  • Anticipate the needs of our guests and respond to and resolve guest concerns.
  • Maintain confidentiality of guest information and pertinent hotel data.
  • Complete these and other duties as assigned by the Solbar General Manager
Required Qualifications
  • The successful candidate will have F&B background
  • One or more years’ supervisory experience in F&B 
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, including in front of a group, with ability to communicate detailed instructions and hold team accountable for results.
  • Computer literate (ability to learn new programs, interact with Micros, GSuite).
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with ability to work with people from a variety of backgrounds.
  • Ability to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed, and accuracy
  • Ability to work well under pressure
Physical Demands and Work Environment
  • Indoor and outdoor environment.
  • Ability to be flexible with job demands and open minded when being asked to complete tasks.
  • Ability to operate equipment in the restaurant (coffee machines, heaters, firepits POS systems, computers, etc.)
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time.  Reaching, stooping, pushing, pulling also required.
  • Frequent walking, push-pulling, carrying, lifting, twisting, and moving. 
  • Ability to maintain good coordination.
  • Requires work a variety of schedules with availability on evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must be able to tolerate potential allergens: peanut products, egg, dairy, gluten, soy, seafood and shellfish.
