Responsible for participating in the administration of human resources policies, procedures and programs for assigned clients of Fortiss LLC; with a focus on Employee Relations.

Essential Duties:
The competencies listed below are an overview of the essential duties and measures required to be successful in the position.

• Serve as business partner to client Casinos by providing general HR consulting services to Casino
management and by administering programs and functions which incorporate the use of human resources
best practices in accordance with federal and state law, local ordinances and regulations, and Fortiss and
Casino policy.
• Recruit, hire, and onboard employees in collaboration with Casino management.
• Spend a majority of time providing employee relations support for performance management programs and
disciplinary actions including investigations and separations.
• Administer various compliance programs including workers' compensation, unemployment insurance, leaves
of absence, and ADA.
• Maintain and support the accuracy of all required HR/payroll records including employee transactions, on-
boarding forms, EEOC, etc.
• Specific tasks may include but are not limited to: coordinating and hosting open enrollment; initiating
employee communications and writing newsletters; managing employee recognition programs; writing job
descriptions, administering employee benefits and compensation programs ;posting and distributing
required notifications; drafting policies and procedures; investigating accidents and preparing reports for
insurance carrier; representing Fortiss or clients at personnel-related hearings and investigations;
advertising position openings; administering employee surveys; and coordinating background checks, credit
checks, reference checks and drug tests.

Four year degree in Human Resources or a related discipline or equivalent. PHR or SPHR certification a plus.

Five years of progressively responsible experience in human resources with a minimum of two years experience as an HR Generalist in an organization of similar size and complexity with at least 2 years of employee relations and investigation experience.

• Solid knowledge of Human Resources and payroll principles, practices and procedures
• Work experience in employee relations and experience running the employee investigations cycle.
• Able to work with complex systems and to implement sound policies and procedures
• Reputation for handling situations and confidential information discretely, projecting a positive, professional
and supportive outward image and exercising good judgment for the position
• Strong writing skills and investigative skills
• Ability and desire to train others and serve as a change agent
• Solid knowledge of applicable federal and state regulations
• Outstanding interpersonal skills and a track record of interacting and communicating well with all
management and employee levels
• Strong computing skills demonstrating proficiency with human resources information systems, payroll and
Microsoft Office software
• Ability to review information in a factual and neutral manner, analyze data and prepare reports and
documents in a timely manner
• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects in parallel
• Ability and willingness to work flexible hours
• Passion for our owner's vision and desire to work in a Casino environment
