Position Summary:
An Estimator that is versed in NYS Code Rule 56 and understands how it applied to asbestos abatement remediation. Can analyze blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare time, material, equipment, and labor estimates involved for assigned projects.  Is proficient with estimating software required to prepare an estimate. You will be responsible for preparing bids in a manner that will ensure profitable work for the company that is in full compliance with all federal, state and local rules and regulations and considers the safety of employees, the safety of others and the environment.

Compensation:
  • $70,000-$105,000 per year based on experience

Key Responsibilities:
  • Attend project walkthroughs and manage all correspondence with project team & vendors during bidding process
  • Perform take-offs and apply unit pricing to create proposals.  Submit bids as required.
  • Create, develop & maintain relationships to benefit the company
  • Perform cost analysis of projects when requested
  • Review bid documents & manage all correspondence with project teams
  • Process project specific submittals
  • Work with insurance carriers, as needed, to secure bid bonds
  • Required to be customer-facing and relationship oriented.  
  • Collaborate with Project Managers throughout projects to review & discuss projects costs vs. estimate along with interact with customer throughout project to execute change orders and contract changes as required

Qualifications:
  • At least 5 years of experience in the environmental remediation and/or demolition industry
  • Strong understanding of Code Rule 56 and related regulations.
  • Can identify safety hazards and compliance requirements.
  • Proficient with estimating software.
  • Willingness/ ability to travel/ attend project walkthroughs and site visits.
  • Team first attitude and works well in a collaborative environment.
