LOCATION: Victor, NY
COMPENSATION: $28-40/hour
SUMMARY:
Operates and maintains all heavy equipment including delivery of materials by performing the following duties.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Transports equipment to and from the job site according to outlined procedures.
- Operates equipment following all federal, state, and OSHA regulations in a safe manner.
- Maintains and/or schedules repairs as needed.
- Complies with all company policies and procedures paying special attention to safety regulations.
- Operates production equipment in accordance with production needs.
- Records length of time and quantity of materials used for each job.
- Notifies management of product discrepancies, equipment malfunctions, and/or personal injuries.
- Inspects parts and documents findings on appropriate paperwork as needed.
- Wears personal protective equipment in accordance with training guidelines.
- Maintains supplies by receiving and stocking materials in designated areas.
- Lifts and carries materials and equipment throughout work areas using appropriate equipment.
- Maintains neat and orderly work areas at all times.
- Adheres to all company policies and procedures paying special attention to health and/or safety procedures.
- Reports any problems/concerns or discrepancies to the management.
- Reports all occupational injuries or illnesses to the supervisor immediately.
- Maintains a clean and safe work environment at all times.
- Oversees the work of laborers and is responsible for their safety.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Directly supervises laborers. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints, and resolving problems.

LANGUAGE ABILITY:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
MATH ABILITY:
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
COMPUTER SKILLS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Word; Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Internet Explorer.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and four to six years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
