OASAS Residential Awake Overnight Counselor - Part Time (Rochester, NY)

East House has Part-Time Awake Overnight Counselor roles available in the residential support services program. This role would be working in a residential setting with up to 14 adults that are recovering from mental illness or substance dependency. The Awake Overnight Counselor must be skilled at encouraging and coaching clients through their recovery process with compassion and patience because it can sometimes be a slow process. Daily responsibilities for the Awake Overnight Counselor include but are not limited to overnight awake supervision and monitoring for safety and security, management of client medications, maintaining client safety, cleaning house and providing clerical support for other staff, and maintaining documentation standards. 

Requirements 
Education and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent with human services experience.

Additional Requirements

• Valid NYS motor vehicle license with safe driving record and access to a reliable transportation to meet requirements of the position.
