Position Title: Designer - Level 3
Reports To: Senior Architect, Design Director and management team 
Salary: $35-39/hr.

As we continue to expand our team, we are seeking a Designer Level 3 to join us in bringing our projects to life!

Overview:

Designer 3 should be a great designer who is responsible for concept design on individual projects, drawing production on large jobs under supervision by a Senior Architect, and individual execution on small projects, like kitchen and bath renovations. 

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Design Development:  Assist the design director in developing design concepts, and then develop designs and details in line with concept and design brief. 
  • Project Management:  Manage the client, design fee, design schedule, work plan, construction budget, and overall project execution for small projects with limited support from a Senior Architect. 
  • Project Execution: Execute project development through the development of the Revit model, and generation of construction documents for small through large projects with support and feedback from the Senior Architect. 
  • Interior Design & Selections:  Have a good sense of material, product and fixture availability and make selections for projects. 

Personal Attributes and Skills:

  • Great architectural design skills with the ability to generate aspirational designs, with eye toward the balancing high design with reality. 
  • Good organizational skills, with the ability to remain self-motivated, and manage a lot of information and small projects 
  • Really strong drawing production skills with a strong knowledge of Revit modeling, good sense of construction detailing, and drawing set organization and standards.
  • Have an understanding of the relationship between design solutions, design fee, construction budget, and overall schedule. 
  • Creative thinking with an understanding of the balance between innovation and tried and true methods. 
  • 5–10 years of hands-on experience in design, preferably within a design firm or similar professional environment
