Palliative Program Regional Director


Qualification and Education Requirements 
  • Degree in nursing, healthcare administration, or a related field (bachelor’s degree preferred).
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in palliative care or a similar healthcare leadership role.
  • Strong understanding of palliative care standards, principles, and practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage complex healthcare programs.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in using healthcare technology and data systems to support operations and reporting.
  • Frequent overnight travel required.
  • Valid Driver's License and car insurance.

Essential Duties
  • Develop and execute the strategic vision and goals for the palliative care program in alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between the palliative care program and internal/external stakeholders.
  • Partners with Clinical, HR, Finance, and IT leaders to ensure operational readiness, compliance, and workforce alignment.
  • Anticipates operational needs as the company grows and proactively develops systems to improve efficiency and accountability.
  • Oversee daily operations of the palliative care program, including patient care services, scheduling, and resource allocation.
  • Recruit, onboard, coach and mentor palliative care team members, including physicians, nurses, social workers, and chaplains.
  • Establishes leadership standards that promote accountability, collaboration, and operational excellence.
  • Promote community awareness and understanding of palliative care services.
  • Collaborate with community organizations to expand program reach and impact.
  • Manage program budget, including cost analysis and financial planning
  • Analyze program performance metrics and outcomes to drive improvements.
  • Timely submission of all documentation.
  • Performs other duties as required.
  • Ensure overall compliance with local, state and federal laws, Medicare regulations, and established personnel policies and procedures.
