Job Summary:
The Estimator plays an important role in the construction project development process and is responsible for accurately estimating the costs and resources required for a variety of projects in the energy sector, ensuring that bids are competitive, profitable, and aligned with the Company’s commitment to safety and quality.
Responsibilities:
- Project Assessment: Collaborate with project managers and engineers to thoroughly review project plans, specifications, and drawings, and identify key factors affecting construction costs.

Cost Estimation: Utilize industry-standard estimating software and tools to prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor services.

Bid Preparation: Prepare comprehensive bid proposals that outline cost breakdowns, schedules, and other relevant information for submission to potential clients and stakeholders.

Vendor and Subcontractor Engagement: Solicit quotes and negotiate with suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors to obtain competitive pricing and favorable terms for project components.

Risk Analysis: Identify potential risks and uncertainties in the estimation process and develop mitigation strategies to ensure accurate and reliable estimates.

Value Engineering: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to explore cost-saving alternatives and value engineering options while maintaining project quality standards.

Bid Presentation: Effectively communicate and present bid proposals to clients and project stakeholders, highlighting the company's competitive advantage and value proposition.

Documentation: Maintain organized and up-to-date records of all estimating activities, including correspondence, pricing, and historical data for future reference.

Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, market conditions, and construction technologies to improve the accuracy and efficiency of the estimating process.

Team Collaboration: Work closely with project teams, including project managers, engineers, and procurement specialists, to ensure alignment between estimates and project execution plans.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

3-5 years of experience in construction estimating.

Proficiency with HeavyBid construction estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication and presentation abilities.

Knowledge of construction contracts, regulations, and industry standards.
